Quick Weight Loss Diet - The Cabbage Soup Diet


If you are looking for a quick weight loss diet, then the answer is Cabbage Soup Diet. This diet will make you lose weight approximately 10 pounds in a week. This diet is also known as the "Mayo Clinic Program" and "Sacred Heart Hospital Diet."

This quick weight loss diet is all about a 7 day meal plan which you are allow to eat as much cabbage soup diet as possible and fruits, vegetables, skim milk and meat. You are also advised to drink as more water than your usual intake. A minimum of 8 glasses of water is recommended. You are allowed to eat the soup as much as possible because there are almost no calories in the soup.

The cabbage soup diet however does not require you to perform any exercise at all. It is all about what you eat daily for a straight seven days. If you are not into exercise, then this is the perfect diet for you.

However, despite the diet capability to make you lose 10 pounds in a week, there are some disadvantages with the diet. Firstly, there is not enough nutrition in the diet. You are advised to take multi vitamins with your diet to compensate the lack of vitamin in the diet.

Secondly, it is not suitable for long term weight loss due to its lack of calories and nutrition. It is however low in fat and high in fiber.

Thirdly, the diet is for 7 days only. After the seventh day, you must wait another 2 weeks before starting your quick weight loss diet again.
